Re: [ newbie ] how do I set up a Live Video Stream

[ I'm trying to get Darwin Streaming Server running on my Pair.com *shared*
server, it's a FreeBSD Unix server ]

I did a tar -xf, & it got unpacked to a directory DarwinStreamingServer.

I "cd" into it, & there were a bunch of files & directories. One of them is
"Install".

I tried to run the installer as per their readme.txt:

./Install

[ "during the install, the streamingadminserver.pl application will
automatically launch". Does this require PERL to be installed? Does my
server have PERL installed? ]

When I did the above, it came back as "Command not found". Same thing, when
I typed "Install"

??

I don't understand, why it doesn't run Install.

Does my shell disable executing programs?

I went to a Unix tutorial:

http://www.computerhope.com/unix.htm

but couldn't find anything to help.

Anyone do a Darwin Streaming Server install on a Unix box?
