Hi,
- Open your "/etc/group" file and look if there is a group "qtss". If not,
add something like this "qtss:x:63004:" (63004 should be a unique number).
This will create the group "qtss".
- Open your "/etc/passwd" file and look if there is a user "qtss". If not,
add something like this "qtss:x:63004:100::/home/qtss:/bin/bash". This will
create the user "qtss".
As an alternative, you can change this lines in your
"/etc/streaming/streamingserver.xml" file.
<PREF NAME="run_user_name" >qtss</PREF>
<PREF NAME="run_group_name" >qtss</PREF>
Change "qtss" to an already existing user / group.

hi, i have downloaded Darwin streaming server in my laptop and i'm using
debian but it doesn't work fine.
during the installation told me that:
Inserting path to perl into scripts..

administrator password cannot contain spaces, or quotes, either single or
double, and cannot be more than 80 characters long].

what is it??????????
Launching streamingadminserver.pl
Cannot switch to group qtss
why in te ps aux there isn't the streaming server working
please help me
