Hi there,
I was testing some pre-recorded streaming files on our XServe today.
Basically I was quickly double-clicking the refmovies and then closing
the files as soon as video appeared in the QuickTime window. I did
this about 8 times in quick succession, and on the 8th try, the system
seemed to lock up. (My guess is that even though I closed the video
windows on my laptop, the server still had the connections open for a
while.)
I seem to remember reading somewhere, sometime, could have been a
couple of years ago, of an 8-session limit flag that was automatically
set somewhere - maybe in the Mac OSX operating system? Since I no
longer have physical control over the streaming server, I can't get in
there and tinker by myself. If anyone has any suggestions, I would be
quite grateful to receive them!
