QuickTime error code

I was sent a small video by e-mail. I can run it on the e-mail page, but it is very small. I saved it to my desktop in order to open it using QuickTime, where I had hoped to make the reader window larger. I got an error message, code 27728. What must I do to correct this error ?
My Mac runs OS X 10.3.8. My QuickTime Player is version 6.5.2, Player version 6.4.
