I did this when I was testing the system on an ISP that blocked port 80 
traffic.

What I did was simply setup an ip forward from the port I used (8000) to 
port 80. I don't recall the exact command I used, but it was with ipfw. I 
just did a quick read thru of the man pages for IPFW in the terminal, and 
I was able to figure out the command to issue to redirect all port 8000 
traffic to port 80.

That essentially setup my QTSS to operate on port 8000 instead of port 80.

Just keep in mind, if you do this, you also need to change the client 
ends to try to use the new port. Quicktime will auto attempt port 80 (v6 
and newer), but only port 80. However, there is a manual setting in 
Quicktime to tell it to use whatever port you specify.

I did this with OS X Server and QTSS, but the same trick will work with 
Linux and DSS since Linux supports IP Tables and ipfw.
