I've been successfully streaming live broadcasts using QT Broadcaster and
QTSS. But so far, I've only been able to stream to Quicktime clients.
I'd like to expand to support Windows Media Player and RealPlayer (most
of my viewers are on Windows PCs and many do not already have QT
installed).
When I try it right now, it just doesn't work. It errors out saying the
protocol is not supported.
What do I need to do to make this work? Is this an issue with the
streaming server, or an issue with the codec being used? Right now I'm
encoding my live broadcasts with MPEG4, is there a better option that
will make small, decent quality streams (audio is actually more important
to me then video), and will work with most RTSP clients?
