Re: Darwin 5.5.1 Linux cannot handle more than 1000 concurrent users

I've inspected the file descriptor limit (use the apache ab tool and I can connect more than 25,000 users which means I have enough file descriptors, I also wrote a c program just to make sure), the configuration in streamingserver.xml, through the web interface, made sure I had enough bandwidth -- have iptraf going while I load the server The server fails using the StreamLoadTool as it goes past 1000 users. CPU use as it approaches thru top is 5% through the GUI 15%. The dmesg command spits out the dmesg below.

Looks like there is a 1000 user limit. Who has actually loaded the server with 1000 concurrent users -- I repeat 1000 concurrent users.
