I'm getting some success though with some material I created with Crush ... and some failures as well

On this front, there is an automator action called "Hint Movie" and I just tried it on a Dodge video I created. With success I think.

Now, the only tool I know of to analyze these movies to actually verify that they have actually been hinted is for OS 9 on Apple's Quicktime tools site.

Anyone know if there is an OS X tool for this?

The Darwin Streaming Server code contains some interesting tools for this. You'll need the Apple Developer tools to compile the code.

Certainly not for the faint hearted.

Thanks,
