Subject: 3gp: support of H.263 in addition to MPEG4 ?
Hello,
With Darwin Streaming Server 5.5.4 from cvs, on Linux/Intel, I can
succesfully stream the included sample file sample_50kbit.3gp with clients
like Quicktime or RealPlayer (on Windows XP), both the video and the audio
(AMR) are fine.
But the sample 3gp file uses the MPEG4 video codec (optional with 3GP), not
the H.263 video codec (whose support is mandatory for 3GP).
And when I attempt to stream a 3GP file using the H.263 codec, I can't
stream the file, with any media player (with no clear indication of what is
wrong).
Does DSS support 3gp files encoded with H.263 ?
Is the problem with DSS or with the players ?
Any idea on how to support H.263 ?
Thanks
