Agreed. For me, it has simply been a number of years since I ran my
tests and made a decision between DarwinStreamingServer and Helix (then
Real) Server. I've continued to read the DSS lists since then to keep
up, but when you mentioned problems with Helix Server's QuickTime
support, I thought I might have overlooked one of the advances in DSS.
As it turns out, I had, in a way. I failed to make the mental connection
to Announce for live streams, as the last live QuickTime stream I did
was with Sorenson Broadcaster on a G3, before Announce was an option.
My apologies for taking the list off on this tangent.
