You can use qtaccess files (directory based). Create subdirectories
of the movies directory for your two users. Create a qtaccess file in
each subdirectory. It sounds like you want to limit the rights for
automatic unicast, so your qtaccess file would look something like:
<Limit Write>
require user username1
</Limit>
require any-user
To create your users/passwords use the qtpasswd command line utility.
If you created a directory named "username1" off the movies directory
and placed the qtaccess file above in it, then you could setup the
File for automatic unicast in QT Broadcaster as username1/broadcast.sdp
I've been using the newer version of the qtss/darwin 5.5.3 release
and I am having a lot of fun with it. The stability is much better
compared to what I experienced with previous releases.
Is there an default or easy hack method to grant user rights? I
would like one user to have the ability to broadcast with /
stream1.sdp and another user to broadcast at /stream2.sdp.
Currently it looks like it's an all or nothing privileges setup?
Any insight would be great,
-Barrett
