Hey! Don't think too general. I am a linux user and I was having problems because flash plugin took too long to come out. My brother also loves watching videos (he is just a common computer user), he uses VLC now. Since there are so many problems with licences, Linux has become our option for networking stuff. The more media is available for linux, the more users it will have. The more uses it has, the more it should be considered for support.

This is really off-topic, since Linux users not only don't care about Flash, but generally distrust it and actively block it. Linux users (of course) typically shun proprietary, closed-source software by definition.
