Also, from what I noticed and reported several times, I had
to add the port of :554 to my RTSP url (thanks to an
attentive list member for the help on that one) for streaming
to work from my static IP to my test clients across the US.
Maybe that will help.

It finally works! I'm running an iMac (intel core 2 duo).
It didn't run before with 5.5.3, now it works.
