I started doing a lot of multicast testing a few months ago, but got
derailed with other jobs, and now I am re-starting from scratch.
My goal is to use either QT Player or VLC as a client for Wirecast
encoded live multicast h.264 streams, with SAP discovery using
I get a text file in Safari and Firefox on the Mac, but the movie
plays fine in QuickTime in IE7 on WinXP.
Right now, no mime type is assigned in apache.
I can receive the stream fine in VLC when I download it and drag it
in the playlist, but is there any syntax to use in the Add Network
(WinXP) or Open Network (OSX) dialog boxes? Can someone that is
multicast-enabled try to download the file and see it if will play?

Is the sdp syntax that Wirecast creates for the file something that
VLC can understand?
