I did; several times. It was like sending  mail to a black hole.

Eventually I just gave up wasting time, saved the money to buy CodeWarrior and BBEdit Pro, and moved on.

At the time I assumed that student developers were (understandably) a low priority. Since then, from participating in this list, using the SDK and tutorial materials in the monthly mailing, and attending WWDC I've realized that Apple does care, and that some things slip through the cracks.

I mentioned it just in case someone was counting on receiving the OS disks in the initial kit.
