Web services on campus

Hi

Are any of you aware of any use of web services (SOAP, .rss, etc) on your campus in terms of communicating with students and the large campus community? Perhaps by a registrar or student paper?

I'd appreciate hearing off-list, since it's probably off topic about any use. If anyone's interested, I'd be happy to hear about any potential uses--I keep thinking about the way they could be used for campus/student news papers and for "offical" business, ranging from press releases to data feeds from Registrars, or for instructional support in terms of class web sites, but I've yet to find anyone actually using them.

Apple's providing so much support for web services in just about every development arena, including AppleScript, that it seems foolish not to use them.

Thanks--

L
