Re: darwin mp3 playlists?!

I think there was a bug in Mac OS X Server 10.2 that made it so that you had to set up a QTSS server admin account, even though technically it is supposed to use a machine admin account. I think they fixed this in 10.3 server, but it may be what you are running into. As for how to do this in DSS, im not 100% sure, my experience is limited to the commercial version.

hi all

i wrote to the darwin developers list about this but they apparently are
very busy - no response yet..

ok i have the DSS 4.1.3 running on a redhat linux box just fine. when i do
movie playlists - no problem at all it plays them. if i try to do a mp3
playlist however i get the files written but every time i try to start it
i get "bad password or mount point" well there is no password. and even
when i put one in (and restart the server) - i still get the same message.
i also tried the command line with the MP3Broadcaster -c /playlists/path
with the same message coming up all the time...
can anybody please help with the situation - i'll appreciate it.

thanks...
