Well, I wonder if anyone can help.
I've had many attempts to learning Obj C & Cocoa. Finally I
decided to dedicate some time to learning with the Apple tutorials.
I complete the tutorial, press Build and 6 errors and 3 warnings
show up.
I double, triple and quadruple checked that I followed each and
every instruction exactly but the errors are still there. Code in
my project seems to be identical to the tutorial.
Here's the tutorial:
http://developer.apple.com/documentation/Cocoa/Conceptual/
ObjCTutorial/chapter01/chapter_1_section_1.html
I have XCode 2.1
Here are the errors:
Compiling ConverterController.m (6 errors, 3 warnings)
error: 'convert' undeclared (first use in this function)
error: parse error before ":" token
error: 'amt' undeclared (first use in this function)
error: 'rate' undeclared (first use in this function)
error: 'total' undeclared (first use in this function)
error: parse error before 'AT_NAME' token
warning: '@end' missing in implementation context
warning: incomplete implementation of class 'ConverterController'
warning:method definition for "-convert:' not found
Problem is, I'm still trying to wrap my head around all these new
concepts that i don't even know where to start. The variable seem
to have been declared... You get this weird uneasy feeling when
you realize that the tutorial you've been trusting might have some
oversights. You kind of feel cheated...
If anyone is willing to help me sort this out, it will be very much
appreciated.
Thanks,
An Xcode programmer wannabe
