Re: creating ELF binaries on Mac OS X

To avoid confusion and to clarify my question: I do not want to execute ELF compiled binaries under Mac OS X. I need this for my studies to program an Open Firmware console. Open Firmware is capable of directly executing ELF binaries.

Hi,

is it possible with onboard tools (gcc etc.) to create ELF binaries on Mac OS X? I am aware that I can compile and install my own gcc tool-chain to get ELF support, but I am wondering whether this can be accomplished with Mac OS X' own tools.

Regards,

Matthias.
