Errr... the Keynote has always been a marketing show. That's the
whole point of it, lining up, applauding in the right spots.
The labs and sessions are where the actual value of WWDC lies. Seed
access, the keynote, Stump, the Apple Design Awards and the WWDC Bash
are just fluff. Most people going to the conference would still go
there if those didn't happen anymore. You don't think companies pay
for their employees to go to have a party and attend a marketing
presentation alone, right?
