I _believe_ that iCal does not sync at regular intervals but rather that
it syncs only after some time when it recognizes a data change.
Subscribed iCal calendars can be refreshed on an interval and changes
picked up by that activity could initiate a data change alert and hence
a sync session but aside from that, I don't believe iCal.app is on any
sort of periodic sync timer.
