No, actually it doesn't play nice with web browsers because it's encrypted.

A quick Google search for "x-aes-cbc" shows that Apple is the only
company in the world that does this, and also that it has been
cracked.

I have no idea if this information is still valid; Apple likes to
change their encryption every time DVD Jon cracks it.  Also note that,
even if it works, decrypting the response from Apple's ping server may
be illegal in your jurisdiction.
