Nope — ironically, Safari would have correctly handled the page as a news feed if you hadn't put that tag in as a workaround.

Safari's content sniffer detects that the page is RSS, and hands it off to the Syndication framework to display as a feed. Once you take the <info> tag out to work around our bug, Syndication will display it as a news feed.

So it sounds like it's only Opera that you need the <info> tag for.
