Shrook has supported Atom since February. In fact, the author of Shrook
is one of the active contributors to the Atom specification. In this
case, the user is using an old version of Shrook. Over time, I expect
this part of the issue to go away.

Hence my recommendation that users should limit themselves to only
providing autodiscovery links to feeds with unique content, i.e., with
some distinction relevant to end users involved - and that that
relevance should be identified in the title.
