Hi Jens,
I don't think I've ever seen <cloud> in a feed. But push-like
techniques have been discussed a lot around the FeedMesh list (not
sure how active - not looked for many months).
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/feedmesh/
There's been quite a lot of work done with streaming Atom
notifications over XMPP (Jabber)
http://www.xmpp.org/drafts/draft-saintandre-atompub-notify-04.html
Last time I looked PubSub.com had stream (lots!!) coming out of a port
somewhere, see:
http://www.pubsub.com/docs/pubsub_xmpp_draft.html
(not sure how current that is)
http://www.pubsub.com/tools.php
If you're contemplating implementing anything on top of XML-RPC I
suggest you read this first:
http://www.xml.com/lpt/a/2003/10/15/dive.html
Cheers,
Danny.
