Best imaging practices?

Hi all,

This is gonna sound silly, but ever since I've been working with Tiger clients and tried to make images of other Tiger machines, I've had next to NO success with it! I've looked at articles on best imaging practices such as this one (http://www.afp548.com/article.php? story=20040726230142403) but I still get a mishmash of unhelpful errors that just generally say that something happened to cause the image process to fail. This happens when I'm working with 10.4.2 on a Powerbook, eMac or iMac and have another machine in target disk mode connected to it. The suckiest part is that if I try the exact same process over and over I'll have about a 1/4 success rate. Arrghh!

I can provide more details if necessary, but my more general question is what best practices do you all use to image Tiger clients as far as software (Disk Utility, Netrestore Helper, others?) and plan of attack?

Thanks,
Brian
