At first, I wanted to look at that. I used to use their MakethisMac (IIRC) product in the OS9 days. When they updated to the Casper product line it did not fit my needs early on. I asked if Composer could support Apple PKG form, instead of just the DMG that their product supported at the time.
They have come a long way since...and the whole suite looks like a very nice all in one system....however when they contacted me about the fact that they now added features I wanted, they would not let me evaluate the product, instead they wanted me to buy it and return it if not happy. I don't work that way. So I used other tools available like Apple's own Package Maker, Loggen, Filebuddy, IceBerg, NetRestore etc etc etc. I then came across LANrev looking for a better system for inventory and package distribution than ARD, and InstallEase also peaked my interest. I now use InstallEase for most of my needs, and still break out IceBerg when I need to create a package that for some reason fails otherwise (MacroMedia projects are a great example). I have even been known to go to the terminal and manually build a package.
So....with InstallEase being free now, and other great FREE tools available it should be a no brainer. Apple's own Package Maker has come a long way as well.

I now use Composer - part of the Casper Suite <http://www.jamfsoftware.com/products/composer.php> - for 90% of my school's software (re)imaging and deployment.

I have not, and this is exactly why I never get into installerVise. I repackage everything I need into an Apple .pkg, so it can be installed via GUI by my techs, scripts and pushed out with a shell script via ssh, ARD, or LANrev, and pushed out if needed via ARD.
InstallerVise locks me out of too many options.
Look at getting the InstallEase from LANRev (it is free now) and you can make a package pretty easily for basic needs. You could also then look into setting up custom preferences and the like. You will also need the Developer Tools and IceBerg if you want.
Iceberg is nice because InstallEase can save your "package" as an Apple pkg, IceBerg Project, DMG with all the files and a pkg that contains an uninstall script.

Has anybody figured out anyway other than an AppleScript and the
InstallerVise file to be able to push out InstallerVise "packages" via
ARD?
Thanks, Phil
