diskless netboot fails

I am having a problem booting an iMac (the new Aluminum 7,1 model) diskless. I thought perhaps that it was something that I did since I had moved the images to a second drive (RAid1 array in bays 2/3), but I've tried what I know and can't seem to get it to boot diskless. The HD always mounts under /private/var/netboot and can't be formatted.

1) Rebuilding the image from scratch
2) Moving to another xserve
3) deleting /var/db/bsdpd_clients, deleting folders in NetBootClientsSP0/1 and restarting server
4) Moving image to the second drive (NetbootSP1) after enabling images and clients on there.
5) Enabling just 1 source (Boot or Data drive)

This was working a couple of months ago as I imaged manyl iMacs and had them using this netboot image. If I do a verbose boot, I see something flash by something like:

mount_afp: AFPMountURL Error -5023
and
Bootcache control: could not start cache: device not configured

There's more, but I can't find the log file for the boot mesages. This is Tiger 10.4.11 and server 10.4.11.
