But in this case the main problem is that NetRestore Helper is rightly seen as part of the NetRestore system, but InstaDMG does not cover that part of the process (not something that needs fixing in my mind).

I'm glad you found the slides useful. I was not quite happy with those slides as I felt that I had to cut off too much information, and still want to create a more complete chart with the different sections better broken apart. I don't know how I am going to find the time without some presentation breathing down my neck...
