Hello,
When this list refers to "porting" does this include UNIX X Windows apps?
If so, does it mean the app has been:
(1) fully reengineered for Cocoa (or Carbon etc) or
(2) recompiled+relinked to work with XDarwin and friends?
I presume the answer to be (1) since this is an Apple mailing list and
they rightfully want to encourage use of their new environment. But then I
must say I am quite surprised and most thoroughly impressed with how fast these
things are being accomplished. I would like to talk seriously with someone who
can walk in both these separate worlds so well.
But if the answer is (2) and folks feel fine saying such-and-such app is all
ported and ready to go, is the app then really considered a first class
citizen on OS X from cultural and business points of view?
Musing about port 6000...
