I ported it fairly easily by just getting the necessary headers. Yep,
it's a shame that they're not all shipped by default. btw, no you don't
need to recompile tcl, and anyways http://tcl.sourceforge.net has fairly
new tcl binaries for OSX/Darwin (w/the headers!-).
Anyways, considering the scope of this list and as has been mentioned
plenty of times already in it's short history, try
They both have it (although g-d seems to have the japanese localized
version, didn't see the english one in a brief glance, but I also don't
really use either site;-).

Hi all,
has anybody already tried to port expect? At first glimpse, the most
annoying problem seems to be that expect won't compile without tcl.
While tcl is part of Mac OS X, not all source and config files needed
by expect are present, and therefore expect won't compile.
Of course, one solution would be to download and compile tcl again; but
this seems stupid, especially given the fact that while tcl compiles
out of the box, it doesn't pass all tests, so some twisting seems
necessary that's obviously already done for the Mac OS X version of tcl.
What is the best solution here? Could Darwin help? (I must admit I have
no experience in dealing with the Darwin details.)
Thanks for any hints!
