Re: Nedit on OS X

I have previously gotten nedit to work but in what may become a standard refrain:

"it was through the fink package"

That is where you should look. NEdit is in the stable tree to boot.

Hi, I'm trying to get my favourite unix editor, Nedit, working on my Mac but it fails with the following error:
"XmManager ClassInitialize: XmeTraitSet failed

Error: attempt to add non-widget child "DropSiteManager" to parent "nedit" which supports only widgets"

I got it off the fink site just yesterday and while I'm impressed by fink and Freeciv I can't get Nedit to go. I have previously tried other methods but they have also come back with the same error. Xwindows is working and lesstiff is installed, what am I missing?
