Creating a pppd plug-in via Project Builder?

I'm trying to port over a PPPD plug-in using Project Builder.  But I seem to
be running into a big obstacle.  The main issue I'm having a hard time with
is getting Project Builder to compile and link a PPPD plug-in.  It doesn't
have a "main" routine, and Project Builder insists that I need one.  So I
suspect that it thinks I am creating a standalone standard C/C++
application. How do I build a Project Builder project that can build a pppd
plug-in?  

Could someone kindly point me in the right direction?
