pragma align question

I am porting some code from Mac (before Carbon) to Mac OS X and the Mac code has the following:

#if PRAGMA_ALIGN_SUPPORTED
#pragma options align=power
#endif

I am not sure if I need something like that for the Mac OS X version. Has anyone ran into this? Can someone enlightened me?
