Differentiation between Darwin and MacOSX in autoconf?

Is there a "good" way to distinguish between MacOSX and Darwin, in a
Configure script? (something like using config.guess)

I am trying to build a autoconf/automake script that would build an Xwindows
gui under darwin, but switch to a cocoa gui if MacOSX was detected.
