So run it under gdb and figure out why the app is quitting.
I discovered that I can run the tunneler from the Terminal. I first cd to:
/Applications/Tunneler.app/Contents/MacOS
And then I run:
data/metropipe_tunneler
(I have to run it from above the data directory because that's where the
tunnels.conf file is.)
Still no luck when double-clicking the icons though. I don't know how
to attach gdb here because the app doesn't live long enough to have a
pid. I can of course run data/metropipe_tunneler from within gdb, but
that doesn't do any good because it runs fine from the command line anyway.
I'm having trouble configuring the tunneler, but that's a separate
problem for customer support. I've tried getting my browsers Safari and
Mozilla to work with the http proxy 127.0.0.1:13128, but no luck yet.
FWIW, I'm behind an airport (with a local 10.0.0.* numbering scheme),
which is in turn behind an ISDN router (with a local 192.168.0.*
scheme), and I can ping 127.0.0.1 even without tunneler running, so I
don't really have a clue what's going on there yet.
Anyway, does anybody have any idea how I might attach gdb to the result
of dbl-clicking a .app file?
