OpenCV is a fast and quite complete computer vision and image
processing library that also includes machine learning and linear
algebra modules. For general information on OpenCV or it's platform
support for Mac OS X see the OpenCV Wiki at:
To get you a head start, I've assembled a small disk image (approx.
4 Mb) that holds the ready compiled OpenCV universal framework, a
short introduction and a demo XCode project:
An updated version of the pre-built Framework version is now
available from:
- Thanks to Morgan Conbere it now contains ImageIO support, so Mac OS
X is now the platform with the best image file format support for
OpenCV (including RAW formats ...).
- Fixed trackbar code (thanks to Per-Erik Forssen)
- Fixed copy frameworks build phase in the demo project
I'd appreciate feedback if it works for you.
Also, we are in need of additional developers with Mac OS X
background. Some help on the QuickTime video writing front and on
brushing up the Carbon UI stuff would be very nice.
