We've been using the ..namedfork/rsrc mechanism for dealing with
resource forks on OS X since 10.1.5 with total success. However, in the
latest version of the OS, it appears that the mechanism has not only
been deprecated, but also totally disable as any access attempt using
this mechanism results in a permission denied error.
It now looks to me as if, at least on the command line, there is no
change between Tiger and Leopard:
foo/..namedfork/rsrc works as before
foo/rsrc works too, but gives a warning.
