Does Mac OS X has native USB ethernet class driver

I would like to know does current Mac OS X support the USB Ethernet class
device. If we have a communication device that compliant with the USB CDC
Specification under Ethernet Control model, do you still have to write our
own Mac OS device driver? Also where I can get the information on this
topic?
