I have a weird USB related problem. Every now and then, I loose the
externaly connected Apple mouse and keyboard on a PowerBook G4/667
(Mac OS 9.2.2). Unplugging and replugging helps. By now, our dealer
has replaced almost everything: keyboard, mouse, main board, XPress
dongle - but the problem keeps reoccuring - with or without a self
powered hub between the PB and the devices. Seems to be software
related after all.
I have created a couple of log files right after the problem occured.
It happend about five times in the last few days - you can find the
log files here: http://wwwbruegge.in.tum.de/~kobylins/usb/
I am sorry to bother you, but I would be really happy, if anyone
could take a short glance at the log and just write any ideas you
might have about this problem. I am not into USB at all (even reading
some of the Apple-provided USB documentation for developers), so
there is nothing obvious for me there - so everything that comes into
your mind would very helpful.
Thank you very much!
Rafael
P.S. I would rather not reinstall the PowerBook without knowing what
the cause of the problem really was...
