1.In case of Usb 2.0 what is the minimum and maximum

You might do better asking that sort of question on the USB-if's mailing list. See: <http://developers.usb.org>. This list is for Mac specific USB questions, that's a question about the basic protocol. You really should be cross posting either.

My answer would be I'd have to look in the spec. Also I wonder why you're worrying about this, it should not matter to you unless you're designing a hub or a host controller, neither of which should be Mac specific. If you are doing either of these you really should be intimately familiar with the relevant parts of the spec.

2.In case of Retries initiated by host , what is the
time duration between two retries.

This is not specified, it should not matter to you. The real answer is it depends on the host controller, the practical answer is that a transaction will be retried the next time the controller services that endpoint.

Is Retry purely a software control or it can also be
hardware also ?

The host controller does the specified 3 retries (for non Isoc transactions) without software intervention. Any other retries are a problem for the driver to initiate.
