Hi Matthew.

I can't really 'help' solving your problem.
I just wanted to tell you, that I played around with the handspring over USB a while a ago to test
my simple app USB-2-IR (www.palmgear.com, its a USB to SIR, IRCOMM and Serial Gateway).
I didn't experience any trouble concerning the connection to the Visor and I bet I did connect it through the keyboard hub.
I admit it was using mac os 10.1. something.
I used the USBSimple example and didn't change much.

I more or less quit the idea of using the USB connection to provide TCP/IP over PPP as I didn't manage to
write a driver, so that the Visor appears as a normal serial port.
I got it work somehow, but it was cumbersome. I made an app that provides a tcp/ip socket to the visor and
I could start the pppd connecting to that port.
