Re: graphical tablet

Hi Cedric,

I am with Griffin Technology who developed the iMate ADB to USB adapter. I am curious how you're planning on going about this from the hardware end (are you using the iMate or do you have another converter?). I can probably help to some degree or another.

Depending on how you're going about it, I would probably recommend a kext. But I have no experience writing a user space driver, so maybe that's possible also.

If you look through the darwin sources, you can find both ADB drivers and USB drivers. There are also some tablet sources for developers from the wacom web site.

Hi,
I want to develop a driver for Wacom adb tablet via usb. I just want to know if I have to develop in the kernel (.kext) or can I make a plug-in in user space?
If I must make a kernel driver, must I make a HID driver? Must I use IOHITablet or IOHITabletpointer class?
Where can I find source code for tablet driver? Is there some generic drivers in Darwin?

Thanks!

Cedric Vuillet
