I looked at your logs. The AppleUSBKeyboard has indeed matched to your
device. The error that you see later is due to the fact that you have the
USB Prober pane set to update automatically and when it sees your device, it
tries to get information from it using DeviceRequests and one of those
requests returns an error. So, the keyboard driver has matched and is
controlling your device. Are you sure that it doesn't work? Are you sure
that the device is in "PC Mode" and not "Calculator mode?"
