That is exactly the call I would like to make, but I don't have the
hidDevice that it takes as the first input parameter. All I have is a
handle to the IOHIDDeviceInterface. So I need to have a way to get
the hidDevice on the basis of the IOHIDDeviceInterface, if at least
that is possible. Once I have my hidDevice I am all set.

How did you get your IOHIDDeviceInterface? You needed an hidDevice to get it. If you were using HIDUtilities, then perhaps you need to modify it to store the locationID somewhere. Sorry, but I am not intimately familiar with HID Utilities.

Yes, I am using HIDUtilities and before modifying it I wanted to make sure there was no simple solution that I could use just within my own code. But, from your reply it sounds like I will have to make the changes in the HID Utilities code.

Thanks,

david.
