Re: USB device knowledge in OS X



Windows Registry - A data structure used by the system to store prejudice 
about hardware and software...

MacOS X does not have the stupid concept of a static registry. By itself 
it does not keep any persistent information about USB devices that may or 
may not have been connected at some time in this or some other continuum 
(though developers are free to implement any usability problems they see 
fit).

So the problem is likely with the device.
