Products without productID, what does that mean?

Hi,

I have just noticed that on my 12" PB neither the trackpad nor the keyboard have a productID when I look at them with HID Device Explorer. Is that a "normal" practice? Why is this done? Is it only done for built-in hardware or does it also occur with external hardware?
