Check the Microchip and Atmel websites also..

You can get free samples from them (which I received ;o)


For low-speed USB the Microchip devices are perfect...
did some simple IO control with it a while ago...easy
to extend for SPI AD converters...

For higher speed check the Atmel devices...haven't touched
my 2 free samples from them though (o;
