help me.. usb webcam ........

Hello?
I decided to do image processing by using usb-based webcam.
I checked out some examples from the Apple site,
but, I feel dificulty to coding alone because taking the enter-value from the actual wsb device is not sufficient.
What I want to embody is GUI based application shape which output to two views-one outputs image, and the other outputs binary value-
from the information from the usb device(web-cam).
Above all, the most ergent thing is taking the enter-value from device.
If you have some helpful example source or sites, please let me know.
