What exactly do you mean by "Install". To me that means write files to the relevant directory, if you name the files the same, then they will overwrite each other. If the files have different names then they wouldn't.


If the two devices have the same Vendor-ID and the same Product-ID then they really should be identical and not need different drivers, that is unless they have different revision numbers. You can match 2 different drivers to 2 devices which differ only by the revision number. If the revision number is not different then there can only be one driver, because there is only one device.

If you need to differentiate 2 otherwise identical devices, then your driver will have to know the difference.
